The importance of nanotechnology comes from the fact that substances in nano scale, reveal properties that have never been seen before. Nanoparticles are usually very chemically active. They significantly exceed the activity of their analogs in the macro scale. They can also easily penetrate into the cells and interfere in metabolic processes. Numerous studies prove their beneficial effects on plant growth (nanosilver, nanosilica) at every stage of development. In addition, nanocopper and nanosilver have strong antibacterial, antifungal and antiprotozoal properties. Products based on nanoparticles show activity at trace amounts which can be an alternative to conventional plant protection chemicals. Thanks to innovative solutions of nanotechnology, we are starting to write a new chapter in agriculture!
